HOPING TO ADD SOME COLOUR TO YOUR DAY

My name is Gemma, but I go by the pseudonym 'Foxes Are Magicians' 

​

I see myself as an artist who specialises in fluid-art, youth culture and abstract imagery.

 

My main interests include nightlife and the music industry, Both of which feed heavily into my practice. in order to provide my audience with a form of escapism from our ever-changing world, my work tends to be bright, colourful and intense.

PAINTINGS

I find painting to be an outlet, especially fluid art as it takes away the element of control and allows for happy accidents.

 

The majority of my final outcomes have manifested from what once was a painting. I often incorporate scanned paintings into y digital work.

THE MAJORITY OF MY ILLUSTRATIONS ARE DIGITAL LINE DRAWINGS, HOWEVER I DO DABBLE IN TRADITIONAL MEDIUMS AS WELL AS THE OCCASIONAL DIGITAL PORTRAIT.

MY DIGITAL WORK. WHEN I OPEN PHOTOSHOP, WHO KNOWS WHAT WILL BE CREATED. I LOVE TO LAYER AND DISTORT IMAGERY IN AN EXPERIMENTAL WAY.

 

I OFTEN END UP WITH MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF A FINAL OUTCOME SIMPLY BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY TOOLS TO TRY.
